The history

“The story of Gremcy is not just about overcoming crises. It’s about our ability to turn challenges into opportunities, scale up, and explore new horizons.

When the idea to start my own company came to me, I already had extensive experience as a CEO and crisis manager in large international companies. After finishing my work at one of these IT companies, I was contemplating my next steps and considering various options. However, a significant number of clients who trusted me and wanted to continue working with me gave me the confidence to start my own business. This is how Gremcy was born, with just myself, three developers, and a project manager.

The first three years in business are always the hardest, and we were no exception. Just one month after launching, we received a significant number of projects, and that was when I discovered I was pregnant. It was a very intense and challenging period, balancing the birth of my child with the growth of the company. At this point, I want to thank my husband for his constant support and assistance.

Then came COVID-19. While the whole world came to a standstill, we not only did not lay off any employees, but we even expanded our team to 13 specialists.

February 2022 was a shocking period for us, as it was for everyone. Ninety-nine percent of our clients were Ukrainian businesses that paused their projects overnight. We managed to get through this by securing international projects that came to us through client referrals. I want to especially acknowledge our team, who showed incredible unity and professionalism during this challenging time—not only did we meet deadlines, but we also always aimed to exceed client expectations.

We are not afraid of mistakes; we learn from them and move forward. Since the full-scale invasion, we have managed to more than double our team, enter new markets, and expand our range of services.
